The craft of songwriting

There's a heck of a lot of songwriting information available online. How to succeed, how to market on the Internet, etc. What about the actual craft of songwriting?

What I mean is the writing of songs...many readers are saying "uhh, yeah, I write songs..."

Ahh...and just maybe a few of you are hooked in the paradox of being a songwriter and being unable to write a song down.

Let's look at the word: "songwriter."

There are two parts:

writer

Come on, everybody, let's go! It's totally cool to be able to look at a song on paper and make decisions about form, style, sections, harmonies, additional instruments, etc. While you can "play by ear," those who can't "write" are excluding themselves from one of the most rewarding aspects of songwriting, namely...the writing part.
